The Third Annual Day of Service, presented by Up2Us Sports Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation and Woodcraft Rangers, took place at Kelso Elementary School in Inglewood on Saturday, May 4th. The Up2Us Sports staff and coaches, including those serving with the Dodgers RBI program, were joined by volunteers and staff from Woodcraft Rangers to improve and enhance the campus at Kelso.
Specific projects including painting two large murals, weeding and cleaning up the entire playground (thanks also to Inglewood Unified School District personnel), upgrading a garden area, and refurbishing of the basketball and kickball areas. A special thanks to Kelso Principal Dr. Brian Coffey for opening up the school and for allowing us to impact the Kelso community in a positive way.
