Simone Charley, Angel City FC Forward, Joins Up2Us Sports as Ambassador

Up2Us Sports announced this week that Simone Charley, a Forward for the NWSL’s Angel City FC, has joined the organization as an Athlete Ambassador.

Born in Hoover, Alabama, Simone's journey from her upbringing in a close-knit community to her professional soccer career is marked by dedication and resilience. Simone's soccer talent blossomed during her college years at Vanderbilt University, where she also excelled as a two-sport athlete, participating in track and field alongside soccer. Her skill set and dynamic style of play made her a standout player for the Vanderbilt Commodores, earning recognition and accolades. 

After college, Charley transitioned to the professional stage, starting with the Portland Thorns in the NWSL. Her skills and versatility continued to impress, leading to her current role with Angel City FC. Simone’s remarkable journey, from her Alabama roots to her college sports prowess and professional soccer career, is a testament to her unwavering dedication and passion for the game. Her story inspires aspiring athletes, illustrating the power of sports to shape lives and leave enduring legacies.
