Have you ever had a mentor that has positively shaped you into the person you are today? A coach that has provided you with life skills that you still carry with you? At Up2Us Sports, we’ve had over 4,000 individuals transform the lives of the communities they serve. 4,000 AmeriCorps Coaches and VISTAs serving youth across the nation, which has been made possible through dedication, donations, and purpose. “Thanks, Coach” embodies all that Up2Us Sports values, and it’s meaning has really been illuminated over the last two years as we settle into a new normal, launch new initiatives, and continue to place AmeriCorps Coaches and VISTAs in some of the nation’s most needed communities.
We ask that you join us today, National Coach Appreciation Day, to acknowledge not only all of our coaches/mentors, but what coaches/mentors around the world do for their communities. You can join us by sharing your own stories on social media using the hashtag #ThanksCoach and tagging @Up2UsSports. There’s no better way to kick off the holiday season than by taking the time to recognize and thank all coaches for their commitment and passion in the work they do.
The role of a coach is a powerful one, one that takes a special person. Use this day as an opportunity to showcase the impact of a coach and all that you or your loved one has gained. Let your story be living proof that each and every day, coaches around the world are working to motivate and inspire others. For those of you who are coaches: know that your work, value, and dedication is admired and never goes unnoticed - honor that for yourself and your fellow coaches.
Our coaches at Up2Us Sports are trained to build sport skills and life skills so kids can reach their maximum potential. Our coaches would not have the impact they do on their respective communities without the consistent support and donations from all of you, which makes placing coaches possible. By participating, promoting, and supporting #ThanksCoach, we hope to raise awareness of the important role that coaches play, and continue to give youth access to coaches. As we honor coaches on National Coach Appreciation Day, we hope you continue to honor them and the everlasting impression they’ve made in your life.
