Dodgers Honor Los Angeles Veteran Coach

The Los Angeles Dodgers were proud to honor Up2Us Sports Coach Stephen Finley as the Military Hero of the Game. Stephen enlisted in the Army in 1970 and deployed to Vietnam shortly thereafter. Upon his return, Stephen attended UCLA where he majored in history with a minor in journalism. Stephen worked for the Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks for 32 years. After retirement, Stephen found Up2Us Sports because he wanted to continue changing the lives of young people through sports and he was intrigued by the veteran component of the program. Stephen has been married for 47 years to his high school sweetheart Lynda and they have two kids. When Stephen is not working with youth he spends his time as the sports editor for five weekly papers in the Los Angeles area. Stephen is an incredible coach and we are excited to bring him back next year to continue working at his host site of Woodcraft Rangers.
